I was looking at one of the large internet Monopoly websites and happen to see an image… ‘that I think is called a meme (although I hate that word). But this meme made me think.
It says… “Your Obedience Is Prolonging This Nightmare.”
Now, this is a great point. What is going on around the world right now is largely the fault of those within societies that are willing to allow this non-sense. Many are doing exactly what governments are telling them to do, and they are doing so Blindly.
It seems that just years ago… No one trusted government, and we raised our kids NOT to trust government. Some of us still do of course raise our kids thusly, but the point is that a surprisingly large percentage of people seem to WANT, nay DESIRE, to be obedient to government, and more specifically, the want to be obedient to politicians who run governments.
But why? Surely a small government couldn’t lead a country to start killing off 6 million of its own people while the population stood by and did nothing?!?? That would be crazy.
Recall the tale of Elephants who, in captivity of humans, only require a rope or chain with a small spike into the ground to be tethered to a spot. They are strong enough to ignore the stake and chains that bind them. They could just walk away and yank the stake out of the ground, but they have been conditioned to believe that spike is their captor.
Populations have also been conditioned to think that way. Most populations, especially the US, armed, population, could easily destroy their governments.
Yes… Obedience is a bitch!
