— Do You Really NOT Like Freedom???

“Those who will not reason, are bigots, those who cannot, are fools, and those who dare not, are slaves.”
— Lord Byron

We are living in a time when our (United States) government is growing… When the Government is taking over more and more of our lives.  When government thinks it knows best how individuals should spend their own money.  When government thinks it knows best how to spend the money of others.  When Government does whatever it can to avoid cutting back on its [obviously outrageous] spending, even if that means massive Government debt.  Where Government merely takes money from citizens and says it’s “asking” for the taxes.  Where it believes Americans are so stupid that government refuses to bluntly call the money they’re seizing “Taxes”, and instead attempts to label their activity, “Raising Revenue”.  Where government gives taxpayer money to private entities (who promptly go bankrupt). We live in a time when Government won’t let people fly on an airplane without the Government searching them.

But, the problem we have; is that the government isn’t our real problem?  We are the problem!  Sure, some of us will always be stupid and think our (or any) government wants to give us “more” freedom despite the overwhelming history of the world’s governments strangling off their people through dictatorships, control, regulation, and government growth.  It is also despite the fact that our entire body of law is based upon the rights and freedoms that are inalienable; and can only be taken away.

Apparently, some of us do NOT want to be free!  Instead, we strive to be slaves.  We’re willing to live on the plantation of government and accept what government “allows” us to have.  We’ll work and keep only what government allows us to keep [for our efforts].  So long as we’re given a bit of food, water, medical care, and the Governmental promise that we’re all the same [even though it is an illusion], we’ll ignore the fact that government divides Americans into neat, little groups [of X-Americans]; and promptly promises different rewards and benefits to those individual groups.

“None are more hopelessly enslaved than those who falsely believe they are free.”
— Johann Wolfgang Von Goethe,

It’s been said before, but it’s ironic that if you want low-risk stability in your life, you should go to jail.  You’ll get three meals a day, you’ll get time to work out, you won’t have to worry about rent, and you’ll get free health care services [when you get stabbed with a sharpened toothbrush], and you’ll only have to do what you’re told.  The only thing you’ll be missing… is your freedom.

Do you want to be free or not?  And do you really trust the government with your freedoms?
